Job Duties: Reporting to the Vice Provost for Institutional Research,
the Institutional Analyst will:
• Compile and prepare narrative and
statistical reports using institutional data extracted from various sources
including, but not limited to, the university data warehouse. This will include
writing queries and reports.
• Manage survey projects. Coordinate with
survey provider to provide survey sample. Manage survey project line. Respond to
questions from and/or correspond with survey participants as necessary. Run and
distribute established internal and external reports. Work with other campus
offices to develop and maintain university-wide survey calendar.
•
Respond to special requests for statistical and analytical reports from the Vice
Provost for Academic Programs, including analysis of budgetary information such
as long-term change in income and expense lines, forecast of future budgetary
needs, and development of budget models for new initiatives.
• Provide
administrative support for the Vice Provost for Institutional Research. Maintain
electronic calendar, schedule meetings, track survey deadlines and reporting
schedules. Draft, prepare, distribute and follow-up on correspondence which is
often confidential and extremely sensitive. Schedule and provide support for
high-level committees including the Senior Advisory Group on Information
Technology and the Faculty Committee on Library and Computing. Maintain files,
screen mail, and handle and respond appropriately to inquiries.

Office of the Provost website using Roxen Content Management System and perform
other duties as required.
Qualifications: • Manage Office of the Provost website using Roxen

• BA/BS
in behavioral/social science research, mathematics, information sciences, or
related discipline and at least three to five years experience using statistical
research methods.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving
skills, excellent writing skills, and the understanding of both descriptive and
inferential statistics.
• Must have demonstrated ability to use a
statistical software package (SAS, SPSS, Stata, etc.), Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint, and demonstrated understanding of relational databases and/or
SQL.
• Must also have the ability to compile, analyze and interpret data;
informally communicate results in a clear and concise manner; organize,
prioritize, and multi-task; maintain confidentiality; and work effectively in a
group setting.
• Experience in a non-profit setting preferred.
